Mike O'Melia, you thought my wife was understanding when I was hanging guitar bodies in the shower. Now I've got necks clamped to the kitchen table. Not sure how far I'll be able to push it before she forces me to heat the shop so these things can dry in there! :D

Oh I can answer that ... right about the time the finishes start to gas up and stink the place ;-).

Indeed. For this first guitar I'm using water based, but I'm sure if I stink it up with other finishes I'm in trouble. laughing6-hehe

When I started building guitars in a spare bathroom and a west coast hotel suite the furniture was getting pretty darn nervous.....:)

[:Y:] That's funny.

I have three workspaces. All of my floor tools, my bench, and my lutherie-specific tools live in a friend's garage. The second is a community workshop I belong to. Great space, great benches. I enjoy it. The third is our kitchen table laughing6-hehe Yes, we live in a condo.

I keep my wood stash in two rubbermaid bins under our bed, and my tool roll and planes live in the closet (the planes are kept in plane socks).

I love giving tours of the "shop." People don't quite know what to expect when I slide the rubbermaids out. ;)

It's all a matter of perspective. The important thing is that we get to enjoy the work.

My problem with space is where to put all the guitars?
Actually, I'm giving a few away to friends of mine who are talented musicians.
Gotta make room for more builds! gaah laughing6-hehe

Ha LOL, my wife came home from a business trip one day and was vacuuming the bed room and found two new large rubbermaids under the bed filled with my recent B&S acquisitions. I also use to use the kitchen table as a go-bar deck, radius dish below and heavy weights on top.. Now a days I use the laundry room as a glue up space in cold weather as I have an unheated garage shop.. and yes having an understanding wife is pretty much a prerequisite :-)

Wow. If I did THAT, I'd be sleeping on the porch. I've come close. But not that. Lol!

My first guitar circa 2009. Yup, that would be our dining room. I built there for 2 years or 3 instruments. I was only expected to have table clear for the holidays. My wife is an absolute saint! I have since built us a new house with a climate controlled shop in the basement. I sure do love this Looferin!

Ah, this reminds me of the time I was boiling moose bones to make some nuts and saddles and my wife was in town for a visit.

Her - "Eeeewww, are you making soup? I sure hope not 'cause that really stinks."

Me - "Ahhh..."

;)

It's a good thing we don't live together.
