This one is a bit harder than Bob's, because I only have this one photo and it does not show the guitar very well. This is a nylon string and new, here, in the early to mid 1960's. I have tried to make out the peghead logo, but it really doesn't resemble anything that I can find.  Any suggestions appreciated. Grant |

I would not even venture a guess ( I don't think that's what you want ) but it actually looks like a steel string with zero fret, sorta thinish tuning machine posts and pick guard. Any real provenance? Or just a photo that caught your eye? |

This was in the early to mid 1960's and the photo was in her dorm room in college. I tried to enlarge the peghead part of the photo, but it is not good enough to be able to read anything, only that it looks to be 5 or 6 letters long. And, yes there is a zero fret. It was purchased in a local music store in North Central Minnesota (fairly small town). It came with the pick guard, so it looks to be more of a "folk nylon" rather than a classical. The whole reason I am asking is that I would like to build something as close as possible for her, and obviously, knowing what the original was would make the process a lot easier. I may just have to "wing it". Grant |
