Here are a few shots of a Parlor that I finished late last year. The top is from a Pac NW Sawyer. However, I resawed the 'blistered' sapele back & sides from a board pulled from the trash by a good friend who was the cabinet shop foreman of a yacht place where I worked. The Macassar fretboard, bridge and peghead overlay material were also rescued from their dumpster.

Ya got that right Clay.
I want to do some dumpster diving there.
Great looking Parlor.

NICE.... I have built several from scrap woods that came from a yacht cabinet shop. They don't want it, so guess the old adage one persons trash is another treasure or in this case, guitar.

Good place to get neck and tail blocks and stuff to make binding and other parts

Beautiful. Nothing quite as thrilling for luthier as scoring tonewood for free.

Yeah, sweet guitar. Yacht builders? We have a few of those around here. I may have to start checking those guys out!

Wow!
That sapele is some of the most beautiful
wood I've ever seen!
Congrats!

Alan, that's some of the prettiest salvaged wood I've ever run across. (Actually I'll be posting some gorgeous lacewood that was heading toward the garbage, too). But, here's some very wild pommele sapele that I bought from Brad Goodman (I think it was Brad), that ended up in a guitar I sent over to Great Britain. That'll be forthcoming, also.
