Sad news....................Ron Hynes..........."the man of a thousand songs" passed away last evening as a result of returning cancer. Rest in peace Sonny. Tom |

Had the pleasure of seeing Ron at a local house concert in Barrie a few months ago. Last night at another house concert at the same place, Laura Smith told us of his passing and we all sang Sonny's Dream in his memory. It was a sad, poignant moment, but we make the rafters ring. God Speed. |

Ron: Newfoundland, East Coast, and Canadian music in general took a big hit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KD7eUfIgCk I guess Sonny is finally free.......... but I'm sure he will always be remembered in sections such as you had last night. All the best and take care. Tom |

God Speed. Wish I had been there to sing along Ron. A great Canuck. |
