Some 30 hours days, or an 8 day week might work for me. Amazing how retirement makes one so busy. |

Yep, time and nice weather. Oh yeah, can you change the freaking DST change back to where it is supposed to be? I don't know if you fellers up North change your clocks twice a year, but it drives me nuts! I really have all I need, but a new chisel would be nice. Dan |

A set of Uo-Chikyu nut files, Stewmac fret press. Just fooling myself, though. My wife will tell me to order them myself! Alex |

Every year for the past ten years this kind of thread is running around this time of year. My suggestion is always the things that I use the most and can't be without. 1) A nice engineer's scale, 6" with 1/64th" graduations unless you live in a metric country then a metric engineer's scale. 2) Starrett calipers or micrometers, use mine on every single instrument I touch. Be it determining string gauges or milling a bridge plate cap to .050" measuring tools are likely what I use more than anything else. Other favorites from the past are: Bunny eared neck rest Stew-Mac router base Nut files Gift certificates to LMI, Allied, RC Tonewoods, Stew-Mac, Woodcraft, etc. Some new ideas and something to play with and find cool uses for: 3/4" rare earth magnets with +/- 40 lbs of pull/push |

I put a Kostal on mine. Right next to the quadcopter. Listed as items 1 and 2 ![]() In terms of tooling though, I have a Tite-Mark marking gauge and an 18 oz. mallet from David Barron. I have the smaller 13 oz. and love it. Some other odds and ends like, this countersink/counterbore set from Lee Valley. |
