I used the kind they used to have (Target brand) and it was great. I just bought some of the new stuff but haven't tried it yet. |

Hi Colin I've used the stewmac water based but not as a spray, I've used the hand applied one. No problem with it as far as I'm concerned. Not as hard as a modern spray finish but not soft enough to put me off using it again. I stopped using it because use tru oil is the same to apply and achieves similar results and less expensive Cheers Steve. |

I have tried almost every Stew Mac waterborne offering since around 1998 and I have had good results from almost every one I tried. Some of the early versions were ether a little pink or blue tinted. They say this is the best they have used so far. |
