I want to use timbermate for pore filling koa. I'm guessing a medium to light brown mix.
Suggestions please.

Koa has so many variations in color that I've used two approaches to filler color.
One is a color that matches the most prominant color and the other is to use a color way off from any color present like a very dark brown or nearly black. The first approach I find is best on lower figure Koa with more consistent appearance. The second, I always use on highly figured, highly colored koa.
Best way to check is just to fill a piece of scrap and wet with naphtha.

I Like clear on Koa but if I were using timbermate I would use black, or a very dark brown as Glen suggests.
