| Post subject: | Remove lettering on outside of a case? |
I'm considering building a semi-hollow electric guitar in the style of a Gibson ES-339/CS-356. There are few cases available for this size of guitar. A case for an Epiphone is available but it has "Epiphone" plastered on the outside of the case in gold lettering. Is there a way to remove that lettering on the outside of the case without messing up the case? |

Bumper sticker? I'm getting an Epiphone case for an LP build. Same dilemma. |

Automotive stores sell vinyl paint for painting car seats. You may be able to paint over it. |

Lacquer thinner will usually remove silk screened logos like this. Be warned it may also harm the substrate. Try on a small area first. We used to use this method to remove unwanted logos from bicycle seats when I was a bike mechanic. |

naptha or acetone, I can't remember which worked for me. |
