Post subject:  Another hobbyist.
Interesting, found this posted on Delcamp site - country singer Guy Clark's "hobby" is making flamenco guitars.
Maybe it's just as well he's got a day job, with flamenco player's reputation for shallow pockets with holes in them..

Plus you have to find the players, and they may be scarce in a lot of areas. Flamenco guitars are my favorite to build but they tend to pile up around the house.

I like his shop. He has a better shop stereo than me. [:Y:] My CD collection would probably get a lot more inspection if I moved it into the room with the workbench!

Have not read the article yet but I know Guy also builds steel strings and he plays his own guitars when preforming. Can't say I think he's a super singer but he sure has written some very good songs......he hung around with a lot of other super song writers and was quite close to Townes Van Zant. Guy if your out there we would sure like you to jump on board. Not counting myself there are a lot nice folks here.

I often have Guy or Townes playing in my shop so the young guitars know what they're being built for.

I did see a large steel string the workshop pictures and wondered.
Maybe hes drop by sometimes.
