Post subject:  Finding an endorsee?

Following on from the last two weeks, and the excellent discussion here on OLF, I've put together a little article about finding the "right" endorsee for your work:

I've seen makers literally line up to give their work away to some musicians, but to what avail?

Just so you know...

I have been selling my guitars cheaply as of late because I'm getting ready to move to the US soon, and I simply do not have the ability or resources to take those guitars with me. It's a lot of shipping, and not to mention careful packing and buying expensive cases (for instruments that won't be sold anytime soon). So I sold one for about 600 dollars, and sold another one at a steep discount of 250 dollars to another friend. Packing and shipping those guitars will cost more than that. So there is that practical concern.

As for actually giving the guitars away... I am hesitant simply because I lack the resources to do that. If you do this as a hobby, then it can be easier as this can be a way for you to reduce inventory, if you aren't a guitar player while still helping with popularity (however little it helps). You may also be able to do a tax write off for the amount you paid in materials...
