How often do you go into a guitar shop and hear some kid playing "Smoke On The Water"? Here's a version that won't make you groan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pmu816MWIAI Pat |

That typifies what I hate about Taylor guitars. I just can't understand why people like them they are tinny and thin sounding... I think I may have liked it if he had been playing it on a Gibson. His rendition of it was great. Sorry to be a downer but the only thing that was missing is if he had been playing a Kazoo to add to the tinny sound of that guitar. Bob |

YEah that was a very cool way to cover that song. In all fairness the the guitar, it did sound a bit brash, but Youtube is probably not very guitar tone friendly either. |

Odds are, though, that it was professionally recorded, which should improve the quality of the normal YouTube. Taylor must be happy with the sound. It did sound like a guitar! ![]() Really nice arrangement though, but still repetitive, which I guess is hard to hide. |

I liked that better then some kid with a Strat turned up to ten and shaking the windows down. Thought he did a nice job. Not going to knock the guitar. Probably all he can afford. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It is a GS MINI which might account for some of the tinny-ness. Definitely an improvement over the usual music store sound. |
