Thanks Robbie! I build as a hobby, but I plan on using this in my day job tomorrow! Then in my shop too, this weekend. |

Here's something practically no one considers, myself included until my hand surgeon operated on my thumb. Your thumbs have to oppose your fingers on each hand. Four fingers are a lot stronger than 1 thumb. Whenever you pick something up that is "hefty" use both hands. |

Good idea Haans. I'm 70 and not in the greatest of health.I have a somewhat younger friend to do the heavy hard work. I pay him very well and he does a very good job for me. We've been friends a long time. As far as standing goes I'm somewhat limited as to how long I'm able too. So I have a stool in both my shops and end up on them most of the time. Using my drum sander and power tools I don't usually sit. But probably could if I wanted to except for the table saw. Safety is my main concern as there is no way I'm able to put in eight hours a day. So I work when I feel like it and find other outlets to take up my time. Like chasing slow running women. There are a lot of things we need to be aware of while working so that we can continue doing this craft for the long term. What i mention in the video is just the tip of the iceberg. I am sure folks here can think of many others. One that I don't mention in the video is anti fatigue mats. Ypur feet, legs and back will thank you. |
