I have a Guardian Vintage case and before using it, I found two small drops of dried, hard glue which will contact the back of the guitar and mar the finish. Does anyone know a surefire way to remove the glue? Thanx, Vic. |

Maybe a soldering iron & warm pallet knife? Most production glues are heat sensitive! |

I would first try warm soapy water on a small rag. Place the rag over the spots and let it sit for a while keeping it on the wet side of damp. As long as it isn't Titebond II it should soften up enough to be able to scrape most of it off. It also could be hot glue (not hot hide glue) you can probably use a hair dryer set to hot it to soften it up enough to scrape it out. You may end up having to use a razor blade to scrape it out. If the case has the fake fur lining you could just cut it out and brush up the fur to hide the bald spot and forgo the water or heat. If it is a new case and there is a lot of glue in it then I would consider sending it back and getting a new one before trying anything with it. If you try to remove it and mess things up they may not replace it. Bob |
