I'm UK based, and can buy bulk Sintoms fret wire in EU for a reasonable price, but have been unable to find any reviews or opinions about it on the net.
Does anyone have any experience of this maker's fretwire?
I would like to buy Jescars wire in bulk, but it doesn't seem to be available here, and importing (shipping, customs duty and charges) bumps up the price quite a bit.
Also anyone know a UK supplier of bulk fretwire they could recommend?
I'm looking at 1 lb to 1 kg or thereabouts.

The name catgut is confusing. There are two explanations for the mix up.

Catgut is an abbreviation of the word cattle gut. Gut strings are made from sheep or goat intestines, in the past even from horse, mule or donkey intestines.

Otherwise it could be from the word kitgut or kitstring. Kit meant fiddle, not kitten.

You can get the Jescar Evo wire from http://www.tonetechluthiersupplies.co.uk/guitar-fret-wire/evo-gold/sort/limit/all.html I ordered a large roll from them about 2 years ago, but can't see it on their website atm, maybe drop them an email or call them.
