I've seen some guitars with book matched (two-piece) fingerboards. They look very nice. Are there any issues or concerns associated with this? Any pictures to share?

I would say, he is kind of famous for his book matched fingerboards, isn't he?

Well, at least he wore shorts, at least for the video...:)

His shop and climate seem basically like paradise.

Hmm...those do look nice. I don't see any concerns doing that.....except it's one more joint to get centered

Grit Laskin tells a funny story about the time he tried to buff a guitar with the strings on it....

Buffing a guitar with strings on? Who can be sooooo stupid....you know what can happen...the wheels touches the string and grab the whole guitar, the guitar spins exactly one turn with the buffing wheel and gets shoot like a rocket twoards you, and then you make the ultimate move and catch it again, without any brakeage of this stupid ovation...until one houre later the shock goes away and you realise you broke your thumb while catching the guitar...

Do not ask where I know this from.... ;)

Cheers, Alex
