Just flip over a piece of 3M sandpaper.....that little guy is outfitted for cleaning a nucle3ar reactor, not sanding a piece of wood.....

I have the picture of my fingers after an argument with the table saw. I will send it to anyone interested. I probably shouldn't post it though, as I would probably get deleted. Thankfully my fingers are 90% normal with some loss of feeling on the side. My middle finger still works for driving though.

It is all over with before you even realize what happened. The scariest part for me was thinking that I needed to stop squeezing my hand for a second, and take a look making sure all the parts are there, before we left for the hospital. The best thing that can happen sometimes it to get hurt a little.

Don't know, but the message is pretty clear without subtitles. Especially the last 4-5 mins.. ;)

One thing I was taught as a boy scout: if you slice a finger while whittling, make sure not to get blood on your carving. It's impossible to get the stain out.

curious to know how that happened...i am always nervous while ripping, waiting for the saw to launch the piece. my grandfather lost a digit on a table saw which impressed me as a boy; not sure how he did it either

Power stock feeder. [:Y:] Best way to rip on a table saw. Anti-kickback wheels on the fence works, as well. I use either one, and your fingers don't go near the blade.
