Ok in addition to my usual workload on Friday (finishing a bass, bracing the Stella, etc.) I got a customer come in at 7pm asking me to do a fret dress, new nut/saddle (he wanted me to make a bone nut/saddle and provided some pre-made TUSQ nut/saddle that he wanted to go with the guitar as well), and a set up on a Tele. It needs to be done by tomorrow at 1pm because he is from another town. Needless to say I worked until 12am today.

Congrats on the work. Hopefully he put some money in your pocket.

I have a special price for rush jobs. It's good to be busy.

I love to charge special rates for rush jobs but since I don't get that much consistent work, I'm hardly in a position to do that yet...

I remember LOTS of 14-15 hour days when the shop was full of work.
Get it while you can, because there will be days when all you do is clean the shop or go have a long lunch.

[:Y:] Hopefully he spreads your name around as a go-to guy who can get the job done!
