Well, since I have already spent 3 incredibly valuable, 10 hour days with Trevor Gore, I would probably like to spend the time with Jim Olson to learn his production methods. |

Filippo: For me, it would be Mr. Romanillos, but i´m afraid he doesn´t do the courses anymore. He is already 82 and things in Siguenza haven´t turned out too well: the monastery where the courses were lectured has been closed (up for sale?) for some time now and his museum in Siguenza is also closed, due to lack of funding and political will. He is at the moment looking for a place to hold his fine guitar collection (including two Torres and the first instrument with fan bracing), i think (and sincerely hope) that during 2014 he should have things fixed. I believe his son Liam did have a small course in the UK a couple of years ago for a selected few, maybe David LaPlante can confirm that. I´d also like to have some time with Mr. Alan Carruth. |

Like Miguel, I would like to spend a week with Jose Romanillos. I visited the museum in Siguenza with him and his wife this past summer. It was still operating then, albeit only a couple hours - five days a week. Regarding classes, he indicated that he might give more, but indication of when or where. He had a waiting list of 30 at that time to which I added my name. Max |

Michael Greenfield. I admire his sound and tone, style, and innovation. IMO his understanding of tunings and voicing is genius. I enjoy many artists who play his guitars. And I love Montreal. T |

Probably John Monteleone or get a good course on finishing from Addam Stark or Tony Ferguson. Couldn't go wrong with Brian Galloup either. |

I'd love to spend time with all of the people mentioned, particularly Trevor Gore as I've recently started studying his [and Mr Gilet's] books, but one person I'd love to learn from who hasn't been mentioned is Bill Puplett, particularly regarding the setup of a whole range of instruments. I must admit that I don't know many of these names, I'll have to research them all! |

Very nice of you Danny to mention my name .. would have never thought that at all ... you are welcome any time !!!! What goes into a 30K guitar ??? .. basically the same stuff that goes into a 2K one (they are just ei rosewood and a spruce top, with a cutaway, and a little thumbrest thingy, and some funky but nice inlays, and a custom Calton case .. so maybe its really about 4 or 5K, but boil it down to just a guitar and see whats left) .. but with a different name on the headstock .. and a famous guy to name the model after .... |
