I have been using laminate trimmer for inlays or rosettes, it's kinda a little heavy for the job and doesn't offer the best visibility. I have a foredom type tool (it is not a foredom, but something like it) but no router base for it. Has anyone built a router base for their own rotary tool out of plexiglas? |

You can mount the Foredom hand piece that Stewmac sells which is threaded to use in their Dremel base. |

The Stewmac customized handpiece costs 70+ dollars... which is a little steep considering it's just a handpiece. Not even sure it will work with my foredom type unit... I know foredom is quality and all, but still... I think I'll try making them myself. |

Bishop Cochran makes a base for the Foredom tool http://www.bishopcochran.com/foredom.htm Listed at $169, which isn't too bad for a small volume percision toolbase. I don't know if shipping would be a big deal for you, however. |
