My experience with nylon strings is that anything oily is absorbed into the nylon and ruins it. |

Have used it on furniture and cabinets in my past life to fix scratches.....would likely not use it on guitars for that either .Used to put a light oil on my strings when I played semi-pro so I could shred faster. It killed tone rather quick, but I was replacing all my strings on a weekly basis anyway so it didn't matter that much. |

I think I might have smoked some back in the sixties.....But I don' remember the sixties all that well... I don't know that I'd use it on steel guitar strings. Brent |
