My brother, who owns the guitar and who sent me the pic, described it as "someone used the claw end of a hammer on it". I like what looks to be a dry wall screw holding the whole thing down. |

I'm impressed! They took the time to countersink the screw. |

I just love this place. The workmanship gets classier and classier. Always something new to learn. Tom |

Now that's redneckery. I had no idea that you could shave a bridge with a Blunderbuss? |

At least the bridge pins don't match. I'd be very disappointed to see a complete set on that bridge |

I think a bridge like that needs to have a limberjack mounted on it so he would dance on the top while you play. Either that or glue a troll on it. |

I thought this thread was going to be about banjo bridges. I like it. Makes me want to try incorporating split wood surfaces into my guitars, rather than having everything all flat and boring He could probably shave most of the lower bout bracing out of that guitar with such low bridge torque. Might not sound too bad |

This is from a 1940 Martin 0-17 than I plan to restore eventually. Who needs a saddle anyways!? Attachment: 017-saddle (Small).jpg
