I would like to recognize all the members who have donated to the OLF either through the Donate
link above or by signing up for the Classifieds Section.

Sooo, over the next few weeks I will be adding this image

to as many accounts as I can verify. It will replace the block of wood ranking.

If you have EVER donated at any time in the past, including signing up for the Classifieds Section, please email me at lance@kragenbrinkguitars.com
to let me know. Please put Contributing Member in the email subject line and your username in the email. This will allow me to better organize them.

If that's how Colin is feeling, well I sort of feel the same way... I'm pretty sure Lance is not trying to pressure users to contribute, but the ones that don't will certainly look like some sort of scroungers.

Does that mean that because I, me, duh Padma, and the rest of us who hasen't throwen money at you get one of these over our name?

Does that mean that all them build threads that me posted...some which have over 1,000 views or hits and hundreds of photos are now classed as being a "non contribution" to dis here forum? What about all of duh other members and their build threads and pics and all the countless hours that unselfishly went in to preparing, uploading and posting? Is we all second class Non contributing members now?

Me most humbly suggest you repent on this idea Lance...that would be

We all "contribute" to dis here forum.

Unfortunately not all of us be able to "support" the OFL.

I believe that if the button were changed to "Supporting member" that well, the membership would embrace the concept of recognizing and honour thems that can and do and should be recognized for their support.

Is all in the verbage. laughing6-hehe

By frequently posting and reading other people's posts, that drives up the traffic meters.

Also, my membership adds to the membership total. More members means greater exposure to sponsors.

I've purchased from several sponsors since joining this forum, whom I had never heard of before, justifying the ad revenue you recieve from them.

But, I don't contribute and therefore don't deserve the special recognition of a plaque under my name.

I'm okay with that, actually.

I know how to change that in the future if I choose to.

My goats are all world class goats. Your accusation is insulting. The only reason she doesn't have a "Contributing member" badge is because Lance didn't start using them yet. And also, she can't type, has no money, and doesn't belong to this forum. Her lack of opposable thumbs makes lutherie impossible.
