I contacted SM to see about getting a replacement but have not yet heard back so thought I'd ask my colleagues. Just like the title says. A customer of mine came back yesterday because a knob had stripped out off the shaft so it wont spin. I built this guitar about 6 years ago. The ebony knob is cracked. You know where I might find one? I don't really see how it's fastened on either. It doesn't look glued on and there is no mounting screw. |

I'd keep trying SM to see if you can get an answer there. I've had problems with a few sets of Waverly tuners over the years and they have come good to help me when I've had a problem. Since they are the manufacturer (I believe) than they would be your best bet for getting an exact match. Josh |

Wow Stew Mac totally hooked me up with a whole new set of tuners. I just have to send the broken one back when I get the new one's. Can't beat that for customer service ![]() |

Jay Hostetler at Stew Mac is particularly keen I think on maintaining their excellent reputation. And especially with the guitar making community. I'm not surprised by their response. |
