Hey guys, anyone have any jigs, or attachments to make it easier to use a scraper for someone with arthritis in their fingers. I usually have to put the scraper down after a few minutes scraping. Would appreciate any ideas to make this easler. So far, my own ideas haven't worked out. Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk 4 Beta |

If you are using a standard card scraper then I would recommend you try one of the Carruth Ultimate scraper from StewMac. I find it much, much easier to use and I think it works as good as or better than the traditional scrapers. http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tools/Scrapers/StewMac_Ultimate_Scraper.html?actn=100101&xst=3&xsr=264478 |

This might be a little easier on the hands and wrists. http://www.leevalley.com/en/Wood/page.a ... 10&p=32669 Alex |

Stanley No. 80 is OK for preparing wood. Doubt you would want to use it on a near finished instrument though. |
