I have ordered some martin D28 plans from david dyke in the UK

Do you know if it will be full size so I can use it to easily make a template?

I would assume they are full scale. All his electric guitar plans say "full scale" but no scale listed on the acoustics.
I haven't seen any guitar or uke plans that aren't full scale....and I collect alot of plans. Guess you'd have to call him and ask

My normal procedure is to get two copies made of the plans and put the originals in a file. One copy is hung on the shop wall for reference and the other copy is spray-glued to cardboard and cut out for templates.

It works for me.

Get them photocopied. Sometimes the printed result is not exact so check the critical dimensions on the original and on the copies before you commit to templates.
