Post subject: | What was the sander? |
The other day I was surfing different luthier sights and on one of them, which I forgot to bookmark, the luthier was using a sander that had a sanding bottom much like the three heads on a Norelco razer. It had three little what looked like flap wheels that each rotated independently of each other I think. I can not find the site again, or course, but I am trying to figure out what the sander make and model were. It looked like a very nice but small sander and I thought at the time I should investigate more into it. So does anyone have any idea of what the sander might have been and what the model might have been? Thanks for any help, Chuck |

Chuck, I believe this is the sander you are talking about. It's a Craftsman, and I put a link to the website you probably saw it on below the pic. ![]() http://kennethmichaelguitars.com/secrets.html |

That is it and that is also the website. Thank you very much! I spent over an hour looking for it. I actually went back to his website and somehow I did not find it there. So thank you again for this. Now I need to see if Craftsman still sells it as it just looked like a great sander for building. Chuck |

Went to sears today to see if I could buy one of these sanders. They are no longer made I was told. So I guess I can watch Craigslist and ebay unless anyone knows of where I can purchase one or something like it. Chuck |

have you thought about the multitool - I have one of these and it is pretty useful when you need a small sander ![]() |

John A wrote: have you thought about the multitool - I have one of these and it is pretty useful when you need a small sander ![]() Yes I have something very similar but if I am not careful I get a crease where I am trying to sand so I was looking for the one with the three wheels which apparently doesn't do this. Thanks for your suggestion. Chuck |
