Post subject: | Pickguard help |
I am looking for a source for nice clear pickguards. Something with a bit more thickness to it than what I typically see witha nice chamefered or rounded edge. Thanks in advance |

Brian: They may be some but I would doubt it. The clear guards are made to be as inconspicuous as possible. Being thicker and having a beveled edge would give the opposite result. But then what do I know............hope you find what your looking for............maybe an added side line you could start as others have with regular pick guards. Tom |

It's for a customers guitar that's in for some work. He says he's seen them, I have not. |

Brian, I think you're looking for a pickguard that has a similar thickness and edge treatment to the usual tortoise plastic ones. If so, you can find them on eBay by searching on "clear guitar pickguard." Even with shipping from China they are inexpensive. I've bought a few little things from these Chinese dealers (capo's, tortoise binding, etc.) and the stuff seemed OK, but of course there's no assurance of quality from such a source. |

Yep, that's what he described. Thanks. |
