If I sold a kidney, I'd be up four times a night instead of twice! I'm going to hang on to them in case something really good comes along! Alex |

Can't really see the big deal with it. Pretty bland looking wood if you ask me (I have a few Bows made with it). If you called it African Bahuna wood no one would give $20 for it. Ah, that rarity factor. |

Apparently pernambuco is gold to bow makers, but in any case, Miguel, I think you should keep the kidney. |

Looks more like chakte viga to me, which is a related species to the Brazilian pernambuco. I always get a kick when people refer to chakte viga as "Mexican pernambuco". Pernambuco is a state in Brazil. Mexican pernambuco is like "East Indian Brazilian rosewood". |

I also have some Sapele Brazilian rosewoo, some North American black walnut Brazilian rosewood, and some Honduran mahogany Brazilian Rosewood. I would be willing to part with some sets for the right price. But be advised, the longer the name, the more expensive it becomes. |

I have nothing to do with the listing nor any interest in purchasing the sets, but they are definitely Pernambuco(Caesalpinia echinata). |
