Has anyone used a product called Old Brown Glue? Its supposed to be a liquified form of hide glue. Theoretically easier to use than granular but does it stand up to hard use?

Not a good idea for instrument building.

As a beginner, glue-ups on my first were kind of stressful, time wise. On my second I'm using fish glue, and I love it. It gives you more time than anyone could need to align and clamp. The pro's justifiably often don't care for it because the 24 hour clamp time is not conducive to a production flow. But, for me; I'm retired, and only building as a hobby. The clamp time doesn't really impact me.
