I was in Mississippi a few days last week and was given this by my sisterinlaw . It was her moms . Her mom passed away several years ago. She asked if I could make it Playable again . According to what I was told , Her mom was given this as a child approx 70 yrs ago , never played it , after a while it was stored in a plastic bag and humidity did the rest ..... basicaly just fell apart. Thats the story .

Ever seen one ? I am curious If there is any value at all here . I have found a couple online that are close , Valued at a couple hundred .

Ain't that the truth. I've been working off and on on a '49 Gibson J45 that came to me in a plastic trash bag that had been stored in a shed next to the Chattahoochee river in Alabama.

Got some pics I posted a while ago in this thread http://luthiersforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10101&t=34351 when I started the restoration. It's going slow and I'll post some more when I make a bit more progress - I told the guy I would do it because it interested me but that it would probably take about a year as I would have to fit it in between other work.
