Don't have a bandsaw, but I do have an old ENCO mill. It gets the job done. it's no Bridgeport but its better than a lot of cheap Chinese machines I've used. My impression is that they are decent machines for the money. Hopefully someone who has used a bandsaw will chime in. |

Chris I am not familiar with ENCO and I don't see any good reviews either. I would be reluctant to invest $850 on this saw. Take a look at Grizzly |

Have sold equipment for 20 yrs , I am NOT an Enco Fan . I am a Jet dealer and their wood working sale started yesterday . BTW Jet and Performax are all same company now. |

Enco is a Taiwanese brand that I first saw in the late 80's but it may have been around before that. We have a 15" Enco Delta knock off from that era at work. It's an ok saw. I've never seen their 20" saw but $850 sounds a little high. IMO, if you're considering buying one of their machines, you should carefully check it out under power. Make sure everything runs smoothly, guides are decent or can be easily replaced/upgraded, all adjustments work, etc. Also try to compare how stiff the frame is compared to a newer saw like a Grizzly. Yeah, I don't think I am going to go for it. I already have a nice grizzly. I was just thinking that it would be nice to have a saw dedicated for resaw and one for curves. |
