I'm pretty happy with my Asturo but I have nothing to compare it to. I bought the all stainless one because I shoot WB lac.

I have the Fuji XPC gravity gun. It has very nice adjustability, and is comfortable to use.

Love my DeVilbiss SRiW (for waterbase), but their other mini guns are excellent as well.

Filippo - I use a whip hose with the quick connect and inline air switch to connect to the gun.

I'm using a gravity feed Optima 800 HVLP. Very nice, made in Germany with fan width control. Todd, what is the ideal tip size for spraying nitro?

Filippo, I have had this gun for a while. My father-in-law used to own an automotive paint and body supply warehouse and he gave it to me. A quick search produced sites with pricing from $200-$500.

Here's another vote for the Fuji HVLP Gravity Feed Gun. I had one of the original Fuji turbines with its standard gun, but I bought the new gravity feed gun based on Todd's recommendation and I love it. Spraying a smooth nitro coat is a breeze, and I appreciate the location of the air volume control and fan width adjustments. Plus, this gun seems so much easier to clean than my older gun...that feature alone is worth making the change. I see that Amazon is now selling them for $297.00 and they are worth it in my opinion..

Does anyone here have any experience with Rockler's HVLP turbine system? It seems to be a big seller for them, and has mostly positive reviews from close to 150 users. I'm sure it's no Fuji, but will it get the job done reasonably well spraying varnish, or should I run in the opposite direction? idunno
