I have never used one before and just received one. How do you install your Martin 2-way T-rods? Also, do you remove the glue guard before installing it? Thanx, Vic. |

Do not remove the shrink wrap. You can use silicone or tite bond , they are more for filler and adhesive. |

I too just ordered some martin rods after reading the failed truss rod tread. I was stumped by the blue shrink wrap and the lenght of the rod. I am use to the 15 1/2" double action rods from LMI. The 14" martin for a 14 fret guitar seems mighty short! |

that is all you need. Martin starts the rod right behind the 1st fret and it ends just off the neck tenon. You don't need more than that |

the normal truss rod wrench will not work you will be needing a long ball end allen |

Martin sells the wrenches, but I was dumb and located the nut too for from the sound hole on a 12 fret and needed to make a extra long wrench. Fred |
