Post subject: | C F Martin bridge saddle |
I had a customer come in my guitar repair shot yesterday asking if I could do both kinds of Martin saddles. I guess I had not looked at there array of options in awhile and wasn't aware that they are offering the older long saddle. I can't seem to figure out why they would and this back into there line of options and which guitar they are using which bridge. Can anyone shed some light on this. |

There are actually 3 saddles in current production models Simple drop in as in most standard models Through saddle ( drop in style ) you can see this easy as the bone is deeper that the through glue in saddle and will be into the wings of the bridge. Glue in Through saddle Used mostly on the vintage reissue. This is a saddle as it was in the old days and will be glue into. The saddle will extend out to the sides of the ramp if the wings and stop . You will be able to see the slot where it bottoms out. |
