Merry Christmas all! I am getting ready to start spraying my second guitar and I was wondering if anyone is successfully using the em7000 from Target Coatings? I used em6000 on my first one and ended up with acceptable results so I had planned to use it again but this time I ordered from stewmac and didn't notice that it's 7000 now until I got it. So far my understanding of it is that it builds a lot faster. 3 coats per day sprayed 2 hours apart seems to be what to aim for. A lot of the reviews from stewmac and other forums aren't positive. The blue haze seems to be a huge issue if not done correctly. Anyone have this stuff figured out and wouldn't mind giving a rundown on their finish schedule? Thanks! Jeff |

Hi Jeff...I have used it on three guitars...no problems with the spraying sanding and buffing...The blue tint is not a result of improper spraying...The darker the woods the more noticable the blue tint..I went back to using KTM-9....don't know why I switched in the first place |

I actually used KTM-9 on my first project which was an a-model stewmac mandolin kit. This guitar is mahogany/spruce so maybe it won't be so bad. If I don't like it, I can always go back to the em6000 I guess. Thanks |
