Oxcylic acid works on some water stains, it does not clean up CA or PVA/AR glues. Use white vinegar for PVA/AR glues, acetone or sand paper for CA.

Oxalic acid or sodium oxalate is used to remove iron (rust) stains in the garment industry. It may tend to bleach mahogany.
