On a recent build, I applied enough coats of finish (KTM-SV) to get a good build, then level sanded. About a month or so has elapsed since then. I now need to apply a few more coats. Do I need to do anything to insure good adhesion since its been sitting so long? Light scuff with scotch brite? Wipe with DA? |

What happened to make you need extra coats? I would ask Matt at Grafted Coatings himself, he oughta know. But my thinking is that it's not the kind of finish that will 'melt' into itself, so you'll need to tooth the surface enough for new finish to grab.... |

Did you buff after you level sanded? If not and the grit was not too fine then all you should need to do is a good wipe down, I prefer denatured alcohol but naptha works fine. |

I have not buffed yet. My finishing skillz are POOR, that's why I need to apply more finish. Still haven't quite figured it out, I guess. I level sanded with 320 so I think I'll just hit it with DA. Thanks for the advice! |
