I'm trying to wrap my brain around this concept. Anyone seen this type of neck used on an acoustic, especially with a Manzer style wedge? Seems like it would be a great ergonomic improvement, but how would you level the fretboad? ![]() http://littleguitarworks.com/torzal-natural-twist/ |

Oh, man.... someone else did this back in the late 70's / early 80's..... who was it? It instantly catapulted into obscurity..... this one will, too. |

Fret leveling would be much the same as on a compound radius board, you need to work the individual string paths. Personally I would need to play one to see but I don't see a drastic improvement in playability. I also don't think it translates well to a flat top acoustic. They rotate the bridge as well on theirs, I don't see how you can do that on an acoustic. You will wind up with a bridge and saddle that is way too high, at least on the bass side and possibly on all strings, in order to have playable clearance above the top. |

http://www.paul-galbraith.com/engl/bio.htm For ergonomic playing, you could try playing the guitar in the position of a cello, as Galbraith does. |

Just because your brain can think of something doesn't mean it should exist. |

Look's kind of like the discount neck I bought for $15.00. |
