I'm trying to wrap my brain around this concept. Anyone seen this type of neck used on an acoustic, especially with a Manzer style wedge? Seems like it would be a great ergonomic improvement, but how would you level the fretboad? :?

Oh, man.... someone else did this back in the late 70's / early 80's..... who was it?
It instantly catapulted into obscurity..... this one will, too.

Fret leveling would be much the same as on a compound radius board, you need to work the individual string paths. Personally I would need to play one to see but I don't see a drastic improvement in playability. I also don't think it translates well to a flat top acoustic. They rotate the bridge as well on theirs, I don't see how you can do that on an acoustic. You will wind up with a bridge and saddle that is way too high, at least on the bass side and possibly on all strings, in order to have playable clearance above the top.

For ergonomic playing, you could try playing the guitar in the position of a cello, as Galbraith does.

Leo Burrell. Big Red Book of American Luthierie vol.1, p.472 AL#12 p.60, 1987.
The patent must have been expired this year or very few years before.

Just because your brain can think of something doesn't mean it should exist.

Look's kind of like the discount neck I bought for $15.00.
