No, I didn't need to thin the lacquer at all. However, having said that, the final levelling can be quite a task so I may try thinning the final coats next time

I have the Earlex HV5000 and I love it. I spray EM6000 and get great results. |

I asked a similar question 2 years age (Earlex 5000) and had no real response. Maybe someone here has tried them by now. Google searches give some experiences with using for guitar finishing, and general wood finishing videos. Kinda how I feel. I think you can use different guns with the Fuji too. Mathew, with the Earlex were you able to get good atomization with the WB finish? Did you need to thin it at all? |

I recently bought the Fuji Super 4 Gold and it is definitely worth waiting for. I used it to stain and finish a cherry kitchen, and it did a great job. The XPC gun is very adjustable, and the warm air from the turbine helps when spraying in less than ideal conditions.  Alex |

Are both the air and material flow adjustable? I don't suppose you feel like rushing out for a tin of KTM-SV to see how it sprays, eh?

The air is adjustable at the hose connection to the gun via an inline toggle, and material flow adjusts at the gun as well as fan width. Sorry about the KTM-SV though.
