The rosette is comprised of 32 strips of multicolored wood. I had Gurian make me some but the ones they made had problems and they said they didn't think they could make them for me in the future.. Hoping I can find someone else that could make these. Any suggestions? Thanks, Peter Z |

There is a classical rosette making YouTube video where the guy shows laminating the layers in a tube shape around a pipe and the he bandsaws the individual rosette off that laminated "tube" he's made. If you could find a way to fabricate a metal tube in the irregular oval shape of your sound hole, you could do your own with veneer sheets. The guy is a classical builder and I think you'll find it if you search "making classical guitar rosette". Not the same as giving you a name of someone to do it for you, but a possible fallback if you can't find anyone. |

I appreciate that but I am already making my other rosiest that way.. It's just that the ones in the picture have so many layers and I'd rather be doing other aspects of building guitars if I can possibly find someone to make the rosettes.. If I can't than I will have to do it myself, but it will probably result in me just not making that style very often.. Peter Z |

Thanks but I already make my oval-hole rosettes similarly to the way they show in the video.. I am hoping to find a rosette manufacturer similar to Gurian if there is one? This isn't a case of how to make them.. I know how. I am just looking to farm this step of the process out. I do most everything else myself (accept for finishing).. I'd just like to find someone that could make these to my specs if possible. Thanks, Peter Z |
