I picked up this set of Indonesian rosewood from Allied a few weeks back. It is right up my alley visually, and it feels dense like most other rosewoods. I have never laid hands on this type of wood and wanted to get some of your prospective on it. Also, should I be worried about sanding? I know about taking the proper precautions, et.al, but has anyone had any reaction to this stuff? To me this set has OM written all over it ![]() Thankyee! Attachment: AUg and Sept 2012.jpg

Nice set, should make a visually "edgy" guitar. Since OM's and OOO's are my favorites I would say OM too, edgy suggests a cutaway IMO ![]() |

That's a really beautiful set. A bit out there for me, but beautiful non the less. I'm thinking some satinwood in the purfling scheme to go with the yellow in the B&S? |

To see if you may have an adverse reaction take a little dust, put it on a band-aid and stick it to your leg or arm somewhere for a little while. This will tell you if you're likely to have a reaction, but you shouldn't have a really bad reaction that way. I'm sure you already know what "normal" precautions to take, even if you don't have a reaction. |

Make a Jumbo. Give it a nice Sitka/Euro/Red/White/Blue/Black/Lutz/Engelmann/ spruce top, and bind it something dark. Hey...do a fan-fret while you're at it. |
