This link ( http://www.kitguitarmanuals.com/ ) showed up recently on another forum and might be of interest. .... a downloadable PDF manual on photographing guitars. (I found online you only could move between pages by R & L clicking, but if you "save as " a normal PDF doc and open with adobe, then it acts like a regular PDF ...ie zoom etc.) |

Bill Cory is a good guy and the founder of the kitguitarsforum.com that John Hall now owns. He stepped away from building a while back and sold/ gave/ bequeathed the forum to John, but the kitguitarsforum was one of the biggest motivating factors in getting me to build my own guitar. |

Yo, Dave, I was glad to see the link you shared in this thread. I had no trouble scrolling it normally nor zooming it normally via the internet, but I did save it as a PDF nonetheless. Works great that way, too, although upon first opening, my Mac gave me a warning dialog which stated that this file would automatically try to occupy full screen mode (thus messing up my easy zoom/scroll features). Did I want to allow this? I clicked "No" and "Remember this command" and now I am good to go...even if the site ever happens to go down. One of the pitfalls of being a career creative director is that I have always had the services of professional photographers when working for my clients. I've always known how to set up for the effects I wanted to achieve, but I have never personally owned the equipment to do so. I never needed to have that stuff. This is a real nice tutorial about using basic equipment and once a person has experimented with this set up or one like it, he or she will quickly gain insights into setting up for subtle differences. Thanks for thinking of all of us. Patrick |
