I just finished resawing a large billet of black limba. Had to share my excitement about this wood with you. Sweet, huh? |

There's either a mirror somewhere, you photoshopped it, or you did a fantastic job on that bookmatch! Gorgeous stuff! I need an excuse to build one of my solidbodies out of some nice Limba. I've always wanted to but haven't gotten around to it... yet. Thanks for sharing. |

Thanks, Hugh. I resawed these sets on my Jet 14" bandsaw using a Wood Slicer blade (from Highland Hardware). Slow, but gets the job done. With very careful set up of the saw, and the thin kerf blade, I do get excellent bookmatches, because I lose very little material with each cut. Don't even have to sand much, because the surface left by the cut is very smooth. |
