I want to start doing deflection testing on my tops. Would someone please describe, in detail, the process that you use? Pals, Vic.

Heres my way

Two angle iron/aluminum supports, placed exactly 18" apart. Make sure the tops of the bars are flat in line with each other.
Draw an x from corner to corner.
Over the center of the x place your dial gauge.
Place top over angle iron
Add weight
Measure deflection

Vic, a couple of threads just recently talked about this. (You're not talking about violins, are you??)
