Anyone have advise on drum sanders? I am considering the Performax 10-20 plus, for it's small size and low price! I'll only be using it to sand backs ,sides and other small parts. I have considered making a drum sander, but don't want to use my time this way!

I've been using the 10-20 for several years in my small shop. It works well for what I do although you have to be a bit patient and not try to hog off too much material in one pass.

I just started using that sander. It works great and is small enough to fit in my small shop. I can't believe I waited this long to get one.

I also just got one. It works great so far. It's wide enough to do the uke backs I'm working on now in one pass. I also found it didn't need a whole lot of setting up to get it sanding correctly. Maybe I was just lucky with that? I can see tons of uses for it and it's small enough to not take up too much room in my very small shop. I think my Wagner Safe-T-Planer is going to be getting very lonely.
