I am building a guitar that will have a rosewood fingerboard. I purchased a presloted board from a well known supplier. the fingerboard looks like rosewood to me (what kind of rosewood I don't know). I also ordered a rosewood bridge blank from the same supplier. It looks like purple heart!? Then I ordered some rosewood bridge blanks from a different supplier. They look like rosewood but feel very heavy (dense). How do you get fingerboards and bridge blanks that match?
