Hi Tai, That looks great. I really like the look of a well-restored old instrument and that thread was really inspiring. I've got an old S.S. Stewart tiple that needs a bit of repair so I'll be taking some hints from you when I set about that. Let us see it when it's strung up! Cheers, Alan |

Well see, the owner wants to use a lower tuning than usual because it may not be able to handle the full 12 string tension. |

Most folks will tune the Oscar Schmidt 12 string guitars to "C", or some even to "B". The sound is very unique. Typically, a bigger gauge set of strings are used, and tuned low. Glenn |
