The ones in McMaster are regular steel (black) or stainless

ANeat, if you can show me where they have black belleville's in a .255x.5" format, I'd like to know. They have black ones in a smaller format with ridged surfaces for locking, but not in .5"OD.

On the link provided above the stainless steel are listed on the far right column, and the carbon steel are listed to the left of that.

Part numbers are 9721k61 9721k62 9721k63 and 9721k64 are all the .255 id .5od .018, .022, .025 and .038 thickness.

Are the carbon steel "black" I cant say for sure, but If I needed black I would get the carbon steel, if they werent black a little cold blueing would take care of it.

McMaster's descriptions are normally very accurate, so if no finish is specified, I'd assume it is uncoated steel. A black finish would normally say "black oxide".

Hi David, these are not listed as black but they are the size you're after.

These ones are in black, but smaller OD and slightly larger ID
