I found several pieces of logs outside my shop, but I can't do anything about it because I do not have any means to move or process them. Also I have no idea what kind of wood they are either. |

The left log on the bottom picture is a really nice looking log of Black Locust. Great find. |

The people that I hooked up with at the site assured me that there will be more locust that is larger . I am counting on it . This piece was the upper section of a log/tree that was much larger but rather twisted below this level . I have some black locust siting here that needs to be resawn soon enough . That log sat in my shop for 8-9 years before heading to the mill . PM me if you are interested in domestic tonewoods . I don't want to further than that and risk running afoul of any forum rules . My apologies if I already have . |

This is the result of my most recent experience with the saw . Locust . ![]() With maple on top . Some of these should yield 16"-17" wide creamy white sapwood . ![]() ![]() Sycamore . ![]() |
