I was wondering what everyone uses for quick polish and fingerprint removal at shows. This is for Behlen instrument lacquered guitars. I seemed to spend a lot of my time wiping at Montreal last year, I used a damp microfiber cloth followed by a dry one at the end of the day, and only did dry wipe offs when they were played. If I take the black top guitar I think it will be hard to keep clean with this method. I have seen others using spray detail cleaners but did not think to check what they were using. Any advice on product that work would be greatly appreciated. Fred |

Fred, I like the non-silicone, non-solvent, non-wax based car products. Wizards makes a nice product called Mist N Shine that I have been using on my cars, motorcycle, and, guitars. Works well on my finishes using a microfiber towel. Good stuff. You can try it this weekend ![]() Ken |

Meguiars number 7, or Cory's piano polish - but you cant get it on strings, it kills them instantly |

The Ken Smith products look like stuff from his secret artisan stash of private stock materials. Oh.. wait... That was another thread ![]() |

I don't need a polish like Novus but a quick detailing spray to get the dust and fingerprints off at the show. So far the Wizard product that Ken uses or the Ken Smith fit the bill, but as usual not easily available in Canada. Fred |

I'd still go with Novus 1, I'm don't believe it has any abrasive any it, it's a quick spray and a wipe off. |

I use 3m spray polish non silicone and does a great job removing fingerprints and leaves a wet look. |
